Rally New Zealand

For more than 40 years Rally elite gathers in New Zealand to participate in a race that won Rally of the Year award in 2001. Hundreds of car journeys are made each year to this event. First rally in New Zealand was held in Taupo in 1969. The organisers moved it to Canterbury and then back to North Island. Since 1977 it is a part of World Championship. Marcus Grönholm is at the top of winners table taking first place five times.

Rally Finland

One of the most prestigious events in World Rally Championship is organised in Finland from the very beginning of WRC. Local and European events were held there before it became standard WRC event. Hannu Mikkola and Marcus Grönholm are the two most successful drivers taking top spot seven times each.

Acropolis Rally

Rough and rocky this event is. Held around Athens in Greece for more than 50 years now and still insanely popular. In 2005 it was given the title Rally of the Year. Colin McRae took five victories and is the most successful driver to take part in Acropolis Rally.

Rallye Deutschland

In 1982 first Rallye Deutschland was held. Before becoming a part of World Rally Championship in 2002 the rally was a local and European event only. Sébastien Loeb dominated German Rally with nine victories.

Wales Rally GB

The largest rally event in the United Kingdom is held around Cardiff in Wales each year. First race was held way back in 1932 and since then more than 50 racing events occurred there. Scandinavian drivers are the most successful participant in Wales Rally. Hannu Mikkola and Petter Solberg both won four times each.

Rallye de France

At first French rally events were held on Corsica but in 2010 the official French WRC rally became Rallye de France–Alsace. Sébastien Loeb won the race twice with Citroën DS3 WRC.

Rally d’Italia Sardegna

Sandy roads around Porto Cervo are well known to rally enthusiasts. This mountain roads rally is held each year from 2004. Again the most successful driver is Sébastien Loeb who took the victory four times.

Rally Catalunya

Spanish rally event is held in Catalonia region on a smooth and wide asphalt. At first the race was in Costa Brava but it later moved to Salou in Costa Daurada. Rally Catalunya is a standard WRC event from 1991.

Monte Carlo Rally

For many years Monte Carlo Rally was the first rally on the schedule of WRC season traditionally held in January each year. With its rich history this automotive event is not only racing event but cultural and historical as well. The cream of auto sport gathers in Monte Carlo each year on numerous events but Rally along with Formula 1 race holds the top spot.

Rally Sweden

First races in Sweden were held in 1950’s. In 1973 Rally Sweden became a part of World Rally Championship season and since then it is a traditional and only rally that is held on snow. Scandinavian drivers are the most successful and took the majority of wins and podiums since 50’s when rally races became popular in Sweden.
